Kaskada is looking for an experienced marketing manager or director to lead our marketing strategy and execution for our newly launched Machine Learning platform..

Kaskada has introduced a new way of thinking about features engineering for data scientists and a new query language for describing features. Rather than computing a static result, Kaskada computes a history of the query’s result as they change over time. This approach enables unique features like robust time travel and temporally-correct joins between tables, substantially reducing the time required to get ML models into production and improving the performance of those models.


Are you looking for an exciting Marketing opportunity in Machine Learning / Data Science? Kaskada is looking for an experienced and versatile Head of Marketing to lead our marketing strategy and execution for our newly launched Machine Learning  platform.

This role will be responsible for driving brand awareness and customer adoption from the ground up, by finding and engaging with data science communities, boosting the visibility of content marketing, and attracting, converting and nurturing qualified leads. The ideal candidate has experience building and executing digital marketing programs end-to-end and a passion for data science and machine learning space.

Objectives of this Role

  • Establish marketing strategy and programs to increase the visibility of the Kaskada brand and thought-leadership content in the data science and data engineering communities.
  • Test and optimize marketing tactics for customer acquisition (e.g. online advertising, social, partnerships and affiliate, etc) and conversion rate optimization
  • Partner with our Community Data Science Lead to create content calendars and to increase discoverability of content
  • Run targeted search and social advertising campaigns, experimenting and optimizing results within budget. 
  • Create and maintain analytics and reporting across all marketing channels, extract insights, and develop proposals to continually improve our tactics
  • Design, test and evolve lead nurturing tactics.
  • Conduct and present competitive analyses and market research
  • Think outside the box and propose creative new projects to attract prospects and convert leads
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and changes in data science and machine learning

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B software marketing roles - experience in data science or machine learning preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience developing and executing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills paired with a metrics-driven mindset
  • Experience with marketing automation, web analytics, and CRM tools
  • High standards of excellence and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain expertise in data science and/or machine learning 
  • Proficiency with online advertising and social media strategy, including events, webinars and building communities
  • Established press and media contacts
  • Experience with working at startups or in fast-paced, high ownership environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred
