We are searching for a Product Manager who is passionate about building community and designing experiences that will amaze and delight our users. This role will help drive requirements and manage customer feedback for our Public Edition.   • Work directly with customers to identify unmet user needs and new opportunities.
  • Partner with other product managers to build our public-facing roadmap
  • Drive engagement and user retention in our public community
  • Own and manage community tools and resources, collaborating with others to ensure high quality experiences
  • Triage community feedback and ideas and help prioritize them for the product backlog.
  • Write concrete feature requirements that are understandable by developers. Work with development teams to clarify and iterate on these requirements in both the planning and development phases.
  • Manage the launch process to deliver new features to our data science community.
  • Present and evangelize our features and capabilities to both internal and external audiences, including customer demos.
  • Use and document the product yourself – walk in the customer’s shoes to deeply understand their experience.
  • Design telemetry that will allow us to objectively assess whether our features and products are meeting their design goals.  Analyze and interpret user data to identify opportunities for improvement and to prioritize developer investments.
  • Use market research to get ideas and to further develop our community
  • And most importantly:  continuously act as the champion of our customers to ensure their needs are always top priority!

About You

  • 2+ years’ experience in a product management role in software
  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in computer science or another technical discipline
  • Sincere empathy for the customer - you have the commitment and curiosity necessary to delve deep into customer needs
  • Open and honest communication skills – you excel at building consensus and clarity across both technical and non-technical audiences. Both written and verbal communication skills are key for this role.
  • Problem solving skills - you love to rise to a challenge and show bias for action in the face of ambiguous requirements.
  • Project management and organizational skills – you naturally take ownership and drive complex projects to completion. You stay on top of all the stages of the product lifecycle with ease. 
  • You care about your work and want to have a positive impact on the world
  • Experience with open source or other technical community management is a plus.
